Games Barn

Egerton Games Barn was constructed in the late 1970’s. The term ‘Barn’ came from the agricultural design of the building. Most of the funding came from various organised events and benefactors in the village.

Since its concept it has been run by a sub-committee of the Parish Council made up by various Parish Councillors and individual villagers. The present committee comprises of – Tim Oliver (Parish Councillor), Silvia Homewood, Sue Palmer, Lois Tilden and Len Lawrence.

During it’s life it has been used for many different activities and functions such as Indoor bowls, badminton, five a side football, netball training, ladies keep fit, film club, children’s parties, Egerton players rehearsals, Pilates, upholstery classes, art exhibitions, additional play and keep fit for Egerton Church of England School.

It also functions as the village polling station. As you can see the scope of activities are many and varied, and the committee always welcome new bookings and new concepts for the Games Barn use.
